How to become a Free & Accepted Mason in Clarkesville Lodge No. 325
Freemasonry strives to " Make Good Men Better". The following criteria describes the basic qualifications to petition a lodge for membership in this the oldest and largest fraternity of men in the world. To petition a Lodge to be considered as a candidate for Freemasonry, you must meet the following conditions: 1. You must believe in the one true and living God. 2. You must have attained the legal age of eighteen (18). 3. You must have lived in Habersham county for (at least) one year. 4. You must be recommended by two Free & Accepted Masons in good standing, one who has known you for at least 12 months and is a member of this lodge. 5. You must be of good moral character. 6. You must NOT have been convicted of a felony and/or be a repeat offender of misdemeanor offenses. 7. You must be a patriot and believe in and obey the laws of our country, 8. You are free from a disqualifying mental or debilitating illness or physical disability which would prevent you from performing the duties of your station in Freemasonry. 9. You are willing to accept the Masonic obligation.
